Raised in the US and Iceland, and coming from Jewish heritage, Reykjavik-based digital and visual artist Arna Beth explores the subjects of technology and sexuality by delving into the unknown realms of cybernetics and organics. She deconstructs popular sci-fi media aesthetics familiar to audiences from video games and science fiction through a cyberfeminist prism, thus bringing non-binary vision to the still largely male-dominated field of the 3D graphic art form. Ultimately, she tackles questions such as: how would love, intimacy, and gender look in a completely artificial and digital world; how will technology progress within a neo-liberal, capitalist society?
