Icelandic/Filipino visual and musical artist Dýrfinna Benita Garðarsdóttir’s peculiar imagery draws inspiration from indie comic books, cult films and personal experiences that transcend to inform her diverse body of work. One that is mainly comprised of the mediums of drawing, painting, video, and photography. Her eclectic drawings with pen, spray paint, ink and acrylics often deal with such themes as solitude, individuality, and/or unpleasant or traumatic events as a reconciliation to the anxiety of human imperfection.
